The electrode boiler is marketed there for balancing energy. With its fast response times, it is ideally suited for negative Frequency restoration reserve (FRR). Excess electricity from the grid is absorbed and converted into heat like an immersion heater. This in turn flows into the heating network.    <\/p><p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sachsenenergie.de\/wps\/portal\/energie\/cms\/menu_main\/sachsenenergie\/erzeugung\/heizkraftwerke\/innovationskraftwerk-reick\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reick gas engine cogeneration plant<\/a><\/strong> is marketed by theFRR.<\/p><p>&#8220;In this way, our power plant flexibilities benefit grid stability, while our basic processes remain virtually unaffected,&#8221; explains Sebastian Gro\u00df, Project Manager at SachsenEnergie and responsible for the economic operation of the plants.<\/p><p>&#8220;The processes are automated to such an extent and all the gears mesh so that our collaboration runs almost silently. Despite the ups and downs in the market, our participation in balancing energy generates continuous revenues that are impressive. e2m&#8217;s bidding strategy is very consistent and successful &#8211; we hardly have any time slots that are not awarded.
