Adition (purpose: individualized advertising, statistical analysis, reach measurement)
Recipient:
Virtual Minds GmbH, Ellen-Gottlieb-Str. 16, 79106 Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany
Functionality:
When using Adition, technologies such as cookies and tracking pixels are used to track visitor traffic and user behavior on our website and to show you topic-specific advertisements on our website that match our content and your interests. The advertisements may also relate to products and services that users have already viewed on our website. We can also use advertising material on external websites to draw attention to our offers and determine how successful the individual advertising measures on our website are in relation to the advertising campaign data. The advertising media used are delivered by Adition via so-called ad servers. For this purpose, we use Adition ad server cookies, through which certain parameters for measuring reach – e.g. display of the ads, duration of viewing or clicks by users – can be measured. Information stored on users’ end devices is also processed for this purpose. With the help of the “tracking pixels” integrated on our website and the “cookies” stored on users’ end devices, Adition processes the information generated about the use of our website by users’ end devices as well as access data after each impression (i.e., for example, when you click on an advertisement) for the purpose of statistical analysis and recognition across end devices, the display of individualized advertisements and to measure the effectiveness of an advertisement. The access data processed in this context includes, in particular, shortened IP addresses, information on the device type and operating system, browser information (e.g. browser type, browser ID, timestamp), referrer URL, request ID, type of interaction (e.g. page view, pressing of buttons, etc.) and other data mentioned in the section “Use of our website”. In addition, Adition will assign an ID (browser ID) to your browser when you visit our website in order to process the interactions with our website and to display interest-based advertisements to you across devices. For these purposes, it can also be determined whether different end devices belong to you or your household. Adition may process the information received and any other identifying features for its own purposes.
Storage duration:
The maximum storage period is 90 days.
Meta Custom Audiences (purpose: personalized advertising)
Recipient:
Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Block J, Serpentine Avenue, Dublin 4, Ireland and Meta Platforms Inc. 1601 Willow Rd, Menlo Park, California, USA.
Functionality:
Meta’s online marketing tools “Website Custom Audiences” and “Lookalike Audiences” use technologies such as “tracking pixels” (“Meta pixels”), “cookies” and “device fingerprinting” to collect information about user behavior on our website. This allows users of the website and users of Meta who belong to a comparable target group to be shown interest-based advertisements (“Meta Ads”) when they visit the Meta social network and to analyze their interactions with our website. In addition, we use Meta’s extended “Lookalike Audience” function to develop new groups of people/recipients based on an initial target group defined by us, to whom we can then display interest-based advertisements when they visit the Meta social network. Meta then uses this initial target group to determine new target groups based on the criteria we have predefined, e.g. interests (“lookalike audience”). Your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to Meta’s servers with the help of meta pixels (graphics that are also integrated into our website and are automatically loaded when you visit our website and enable user behavior to be tracked). By integrating the meta pixels, Meta processes the information generated about the use of our website by your end device – e.g. that you have called up a certain web page – and processes, among other things, the data mentioned in the section “Use of our website”, in particular IP address, browser information, the meta ID, end device ID, language settings, date and time of the server request and event data such as page and button views and other interactions for the purpose of displaying personalized advertisements. For this purpose, it can also be determined whether different end devices belong to you or your household. If you are registered with a Meta service, Meta can assign the information collected to your user account. We process personal data in the context of the use of Meta Business Tools together with Meta in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR. Further information on this can be found in our data protection information.
Storage duration:
The storage period is 3 months (we recommend no more than 24 months).
Meta conversion (purpose: statistical analysis, reach measurement)
Recipient:
Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland, and Meta Platforms Inc. 1601 Willow Rd, Menlo Park, California, USA.
Functionality:
The online marketing service “Meta Pages Insights” uses technologies such as “tracking pixels” (“meta pixels”), “cookies”, “device fingerprinting” and the Meta Conversions API to process information from users’ end devices, particularly in connection with interactions on our website. The data processing is carried out for the purpose of analyzing the use of our websites and Internet presences, e.g. in social networks Facebook and “Instagram”, the interactions made by users on our website and Internet presences as well as measuring the reach of our advertisements. For this purpose, it can also be determined whether different devices belong to you or your household. With the help of “meta pixels” – small graphics that are also integrated on our website and are automatically loaded when you visit our website and enable tracking of user behavior – your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the Meta server. By integrating the “meta pixels”, Meta processes information generated by “cookies” about the use of our website by the user’s terminal device – e.g. that a specific web page has been accessed – and processes access data, in particular your IP address, browser information, language settings, terminal device ID, the previously visited website, the “meta ID”, the date and time of the server request and event data (e.g. page/button views, interactions), for the aforementioned purposes. If users are registered with a Meta service, Meta can assign the visit to the user account and create and evaluate cross-application user profiles. The information obtained with the help of the Meta pixel is used solely for statistical purposes, is transmitted to us anonymously by Meta as statistics and does not provide any information about the user’s person. We process personal data in the context of the use of Meta Business Tools together with Meta in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR. Further information on this can be found in our data protection information.
Storage duration:
The storage period is three months (we recommend no more than 24 months).
Further information on data protection and the individual functionalities of our websites as well as on third country transfers can be found in our general data protection information.
